I live in a cozy intergenerational home in Poughkeepsie, New York with my husband, 9-year-old, in-love parents, brother, and sister.
I received my B.A. from Vassar College in 2020 in Sociology and Creative Writing. I am currently in a Master's program in Stop-motion Animation.
I make art because it brings me joy and purpose. I love the process of interpreting my experience of the world and freeing my deep belief in our human capacity to leave behind violence and grow into greater love for one another, gratitude for this magic existence, and the acceptance that all must have equal access to it.
People interacting, eggs in a variety of preparations, period blood, atypical punctuation and grammar, the sound a good kiss makes, an arrangement of personal belongings, the scar in the shape of an "i"on my hand, bugs, flowers, styrofoam lemons, the shifting weather patterns and businesses in my home town.
Society, my room, and my brain all get messy. My instincts tell me to arrange a beautiful story. There is a lively world within the messes we make and my dream is to make animated art about them.
